Good luck with Stratford, I thought it was hopeless. If it wasn't for the micropub it would have been a disaster. The fact that any reference to Bill Shakespeare bores me to death doesn't help!

I normally keep my head down in Stratford and try to avoid the tourists.It always seems better in the evening once the coach parties have disappeared .In the past it's been difficult to find a decent pint there ,but fortune favours the brave

Looking at the nerd stats, I appear to be on a double Nelson for the year so far (David Shepherd would have been hopping about like a good 'un). 39 newbies for April, 10 today in Witney, and 65 Quinnages for year to date.

On 110 now but slowed up a bit of late with no major trips planned until late June in Brighton, I'm sure I'll sneak in a London trip before that though. 27 Quinnos.

I loved the Cunk On Shakespeare program on BBC2 last night. It's a Charlie Brooker Weekly Wipe special with the hapless Philomena Cunk demolishing the subject of Shakespeare with a whole series of "Moments Of Wonder".

Now up to 54 so far this year.June with provide opportunities in Portishead and Bristol,but July should be a bigger month.

Nerd stats are saying 108 new visits done in May, which makes 320 new visits year-to-date, of which 85 have qualified as "Quinnos". Trip to Spain with the football lads mid-month means numbers will be well down in June.

When are you arriving round here? I've a friend having a mid life crisis interested in looking at buying a narrow boat amongst many other things so would be nice to possibly meet up so he could pick your brains about the finer practicalities of owning a narrow boat.

Now on 228 after Bank Holiday weekend trip to Peak District and Yorkshire Dales.
