This looks a bit more tasteful than the mosaic of long time landlady Kath Smethurst at the Caste Hotel Manchester, which allegedly included some of her ashes in the grouting. That was just a bit creepy for me. When the pub re-opened last year it was removed, along with a lot of the brewerania/tat behind the bar.
I've just joined Alcoholics Anonymous - I still drink, just under a different name.
I started a new thread back on 18/03/2010 named Misericords to Commemorate Flossie Lane. It was based on the report of a local paper and gave details of the dedication if I remember. Nice to see the Times finally getting round to it.
Thanks to rpadam for bringing it back to our attention, my thread had sunk well out of sight.
