Alternatively this list by the man who possibly knows more about Spoons than Tim Martin is very useful.
Using this list to jog the old memory I have visited 36 spoons.

Took a while to check this, but figures are currently:

    • JD Wetherspoon (including Lloyds No 1) - 387 (average rating 6.0)

    • Micro-pubs - 14 (average rating 7.4)

I thought I would bump this thread as it's a new year and I've done what I hope is a definitive count of how many Spoons I've been to not including ones known to have closed. It's 577 but this link

    http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/userinfo/ratings/

shows 588 as it's based on the pub type and includes ones that have closed but not changed hands. Some new Spoons don't have the pub type set up but many that have changed ownership seem to have had the pub type removed.
I haven't counted micropubs as it must be possible and presumably simple enough to create a link to a query that will show the user how many they have been to.

    .
Tim should give you a 'frequent flyer' loyalty card, gold standard.

The report shows me on 474 (which must miss a few for the reasons given), whereas my own count shows 506 (which must include some closures and sales).

In my case new ones without a Pub Type reduce my total but closed ones that haven't been transferred up the total. There aren't any now apart from closed ones that I haven't reviewed and there aren't many of those.
Things don't get easier with this crawl as the three in the Scottish Borders are all in places I have no idea about (apart from being in the Scottish Borders) and not on a railway line. Hawick (wherever that is and YES I am pronouncing it wrongly) is over an hour bus journey from Carlisle.
