Generally you you get what you pay for.

    Hmmm....

The Plumbers Arms - had something dreadful here the other day for probably somewhere getting close to £3.00 for a half.

The Rochester Castle (JD Wetherspoon) - much improved since virtually all the previous reviews, but now very much stocking mainly local ales and in top condition over several recent revisits, at £1.99 a pint, so probably £1.00 a half.

Well you do also have to pick the right spot of course.

Right spot picked: The Queens Head - Had a half each of Redemption's Trinity and Fellowship London Porter last night, for only £1.70 and £1.85, which is about the same price as Ray's review from nearly seven years ago; both in fantastic shape too, the London Porter being superb.

I guess the pub should be reclassified as 'open' then..? (Currently marked closed)
