    Darkstar Hophead
    Marble Manchester*
    Bowmans Lapwing
    Fullers Olivers Island
    West Berks Double Decadence
    Oakham Citra*
    Oakham Gangster*
    Titanic Steerage*
    Wild Beer Bibble*
    Weird Beard Dark Hopfler*
    Magic Rock Rapture*
    Siren Craft Dinner for 8*
    Big Smoke Electric Eye*
Big Smoke Underworld Chocolate and Vanilla*

A difficult choice this week, the last eight, all enjoyed at the Ale And Cider Festival in Surbitons excellent Antelope, were all very good, especially Weird Beards Dark Hopfler, described as a hoppy milk ale it had unbelievable flavour for a beer at only 2.5%. But BOTW goes to Titanic Steerage which was at its refreshingly zingy best.

    Oakham Gangster*
    Grainstore Ten Fifty*
    Salopian Spectrum*
    Oakham Bishops Farewell*

Both the Gangster and the Ten Fifty were excellent. Both look like BBB's, neither is and both are fruity and tasty. The Gangster is more citrussy, as is Oakham's wont whilst the Ten Fifty is more berries and forest fruit which suited me on the day. Enough of the Jilly Goolden.

    BOTW Grainstore Ten Fifty

Comparisons to berries and forest fruit are acceptable. When you start using words like 'shoe polish' and 'pencil shavings', then you will be soundly thrashed.

A reasonable week, largely made up of new beers (to me). However, some of them were pretty underwhelming.

    Knops - East Coast Pale.
    Woodforde's - Norfolk Champion.
    Whippet - Little Curre.*
    Roosters - Baby Faced Assassin.
    Stancill - India Ruby Ale.
    Treboom - Kettle Drum.
Black Iris - Endless Summer. *
    Vibrant Forest - Cydonia.
    Five Points - IPA. (Keg)*
    Firebrand - Breakout IPA.
    Sonnet 43 - American PA.

Easy winner was the Endless Summer, a refreshing session IPA.

This lack of quaffing is becoming a serious problem.

BOTW was by default Dorset Brewing Company Jurrasic,in reasonable shape in The Acorn Inn,Evershot and the only pint of the week

I did have a few bottles of Marston's IPA which at 5.9% was similar to Old Empire ,but not real ale in a bottle.Decent however.

Next week starts the slow drift south for the winter,so expecting some Titanic action to lift the spirits.
