Default Help with bus Services in Shipley and Bradford

I am planning to do a crawl round Idle and Eccleshill this Saturday.

But i am unable to find bus times from either Bradford or Shipley to do this crawl,i will hopefully do most pubs in the area and would
like to start out in Idle and work my way down to Eccleshill.

Is it better going into Bradford or getting off at Shipley, the walk back from Idle to Shipley train station look a good distance without any pubs to do,so i would prefer to bus it from Eccleshill into Bradford,or if there are buses from Eccleshill to Shipley that would be even better.

    Thanks Alan

I use the Traveline website www.traveline.info when planning bus journeys, including when I was last in the Shipley / Baildon / Idle area.

The 947 goes from Bradford to Yeadon via Greengates and goes along Bolton Rd which is the top of the hill and Pullen Avenue which is a bit further along, a Bolton Rd stop would probably suit you best for Eccleshill. I wouldn't go via Shipley but might come back that way, not sure which buses go that way though the 660 suggested looks right.

If you're in Leeds bus station pick up the set of "How to get around in..." leaflets they're invaluable for bus planning and are portable.
