Just one for me, the Kelham Island Tavern, although, I prefer the Fat Cat just round the corner.

The Crown & Kettle is nowhere near the best pub in the Northern Quarter, nevermind Greater Manchester.
4 for me. I was in The Steamboat only 2 weeks ago.
A pub is for life not just for Christmas
4 for me, Riser, Crown&Kettle*, Surrey Oaks, KIT.
*No, I agree I wouldn't have it as top dog in the area, but I have a bit of a soft spot for the place and do like to drop in if up there.
Soaks, Riser and Crown and Kettle but not been in the C.a.K since about 1982 so it probably doesn't count.
Ok, maybe just for one......................
For some reason I can't see this, click on the link and I get the message "This news is not available"?

Have to disagree with you there, Andy - just on beer choice (although I do like the Cat as a pub, for historical reasions and for its garden/yard, I have to say that the arrangement of/access to the bar leaves a lot to be desired.)
At the KIT there's always Bradfield Farmers Blonde for those who don't know any better, plus Pictish Gold and Barnsley Bitter for those who like a standard ordinary bitter at opposite ends of the spectrum; always a mild; always a stout and/or a porter; and four or five pumps in between with interesting newcomers. And all of these beers are always in top condition.
At the Cat, the beer range in terms of style is much more variable and there are fewer pumps in operation. My default beer here (if I didn't fancy any of the guests, or the Kelham Island Brewery experimental brews) was always their own Kelham Island Best, but in recent months they can't even serve that in top condition a lot of the time.
KIT beats Cat any day, for me.
Nice to have the choice though!
