    Dry week apart from Saturday.

    Dark Star -- Revelation *
    Inveralmond -- Rascal (London Porter)
    Oakham -- Citra *

BOTW goes to Dark Star Revelation on top form in The George and only missed the three pint test due to a barrel change which took longer that it should have.

Next week end of month beers in Hertford and The Jerusalem Tavern where I usually overindulge so hopefully something decent for BOTW.

A modest week for me :-

    Oakham Inferno 4.0%*
West Berks Good Old Boy 4.0%*
    Saffron Royal Blue 4.1%
    Brewsater's Aromantica 4.2%*
    Everard's Schlafly Pale Ale 4.4%
    Adnam's Mosaic 4.5%
Wild Card Jack Of Clubs 4.5%
Red Squirrel Jack Black IPA 4.8%*
Marston's Revisionist West Coast IPA 5.0%
    Brodie's Old Street Pale 5.0%*
    Signature Brew Backstage IPA 5.6%

The easy winner is the Red Squirrel Jack Black IPA as tried in superb condition at the Bishops Stortford Port Jackson Spoons for £2.49. It's a classic black IPA with a lower ABV than some.
A statistic for the anti Spoons brigade, out of eight pubs visited this week only three were Spoons yet three of the five starred beers were tried in Spoons.

Continued my stay in Corfu all week bar today so rather limited beer choice,
    Corfu .
    Mythos
    Alpha
    Corfu Beer - Bitter Dark
    Corfu Beer - Pilsner
    Corfu Beer - Ionian Gold
Corfu Beer - Royal Ionian Pilsner

    UK
    Darkstar- Hophead
    West Berks - Double Decadence

Still in the holiday mood despite my return to the English summer, so beer of the week is Corfu Beer - Bitter Dark (Bottle) ,a Corfoit dark bitter at 5.0% , although served chilled it was quite good, taste wise it is very much like Triple fff's Pressed Rat and Warthog (a Mild) given the competition its a very drinkable beer.
There were a couple of other beers I fancied trying from this brewery, a 5.0% IPA and one called Ionian Epos (Life Style) at 7.5%, described as a Barley Wine with Caramel and Honey Notes, failed to track them down though.

Quiet-ish week for me, but with some old favourites on good form.

    Thornbridge - Kipling.*
    Kirkstall - Three Swords.*
    Bristol Beer Factory - Sorachi.
    Kirkstall - Black Band Porter.*
    Burning Sky - Aurora.
    Goose Eye - Bitter.
    Naylors - Sizzler.
    Okells - MPA.
Hand Drawn Monkey - Pale Ale.
    Partners - Triple Hop.
    WharfeBank - Ro Sham Bo.

Very little between the Kipling and the two Kirkstall beers, but the former just shades it.

BOTW Poppylands East Coast IPA (bottle). At 7% does what it says on the tin. Excellent.
