Halifax Mayfest - Anybody going along?
We'll be there from around 1 p.m. on Saturday 8th May and I just wondered if any of our Yorkshire colleagues will be paying a visit.
I've had my Visa approved for a short visit from Lancashire and I've also changed some of our English pounds into Grotes so we can buy beer in Yorkshire.
I'll wait until we cross the border before setting my watch back 30 years though.

Have they started using pounds in Lancs now? I thought it was all barter over there! Halifax has long been on my list of places to do (Three Pigeons especially) so I may just pop down and see what's going on.
Sadly, i am on a real ale trip to the Crown, Oakengates, Shifnal, Codsall and Brewood that day, or i would have been tempted - we could have celebrated Rochdale's promotion by then!

After losing 5 - 0 to Torquay and then 0 - 1 at home to Darlington I'm beginning to wonder if they want to go up at all.
There were promotion parties set up all over town on Tuesday as Darlington are bottom.
Chickens, eggs & hatched spring to mind.

The Station is about 20 feet from the Crown across the road as is the Fighting Cocks which is the Ironbridge Brewery tap , thats 30+ handpulls in 3 pubs all virtually next door to each other , in fact im off there in an hour

I should mention Soupy the Station usually has Holdens or Ansells Mild (its Ansells at the moment) on £2 a pint
