Yesterday, Cwtch by Tiny Rebel, was crowned Beer Of Britain 2015 at the GBBF.

The beer is a Welsh red ale, at 4.6%, according to their website 'Citrus and tropical fruit dominate the taste, that is backed up with caramel malts'. And although I am a fan of the brewery beers, I find this one of their weaker ones (shows what I know !)

The award is a tribute to one of our newer breweries, having only been brewing since February 2012.

The silver award was taken by Kelburn 'Jaguar' and the bronze was taken by Dancing Duck 'Dark Drake'.

Sadly for those of us who champion Yorkshire beers, the only local successes were the old favourites, Taylors 'Boltmaker', Saltaire 'Tripachocoholic' and Rudgate 'Ruby Mild'. All of which have been previously recognised.

Never mind - there is always next year.
