Neither the Tap or the Exeter would be top of my list, but as we're passing, it would be rude not to pop in.

As you know, there tends to be a certain amount of flexibility about these routes. I've only suggested "main route" and "wild card" options to get an idea of how much walking would be involved. Of course, if you're going to be cabbing it, that won't be a concern, will it?

Won't be making this one as the 1st Rochdale Beer Festival is on the 12th, 13th & 14th November.

As one of the organising committee I should probably be there.

I was up in Derby earlier this year for a really good crawl. I will check diary for Fri 13 November.

Hope you can make it. Any pubs you liked that have not been mentioned so far?

Need to check with work (I'm now expected to actually do some in my new job!) but should be able to make it, it's easy enough from Reading.

Hey Mick, if you make this one, will you be amending your handle for the day to 'Moby-me-Duck'..?

Anything to fit in with the locals.

Not currently sure I will be making this one, I reckon I will be able to get train tickets from St Pancras to Derby cheap enough,( maybe £15.00 E/W or so) but its £42.00 for me to get to London and back which given the current state of my finances a bit steep, had the trip been on a Saturday, more preferable for me, the £42.00 becomes £25.00 return to London a little more acceptable. Still keeping an open mind though, Derby is somewhere I would like to go.

Myself and Tammy are definitely making this one.

Looking at the trains I reckon we should be arriving 11:38, so hopefully time for a swift half in the Brunswick as others are finishing up and heading to the Smithfield.
