I'm of the opinion that the Birmingham real ale scene has massively improved in the last few years. The Wellington seemed to be the focal point of the city's scene but I think the Craven Arms surpasses it and is one of the best City pubs in the country right now.
The Anchor is a cracking pub but the Barton Arms may well be the most beautiful pub I've ever been to.

Nailed it.

I'd have been to more if the Craven Arms beer selection wasn't so good.
