It does appear on Maston's Pub search , if you search Warminster.
However I just tried phoning the pub using the number on what pub to find out its not recognised , there is a different number on Marstons pub search (same code), this was no good either, Maybe Marston's are as useless as Bath and Borders CAMRA.

This local historian recorded the pub as having reopened under new management by December 2014.

    http://www.dannyhowell.net/2014/12/t...nster-now.html

He's posted a few times about events at the pub since then, the most recent being on 28th March 2015.

So it definitely reopened after Quinno's visit, but I suppose it's possible that it has closed again since then??

However it says that the living accomodation has recently been upgraded by the CURRENT tenant.

Whatpub has it marked as reopen on 03/06/2015.

I suspect it's currently open in the short term, but is still up for let for the 5 year tenancy.

On balance I would say that it's open.
Thanks for taking the time to find that information.

It also looks open from the latest Google Street View image taken in May 2015

£2.40 for a pint of cask ale - who says you need to head North for a cheap pint?

It's on pub search on the main Marston's site with no details, but not on their pubfinder.

Or is it the other way round?

Marstons are useless! After I found the Yew Tree on "Marstons Taverns", I also saw the 'Railway' in Altrincham complete with photograph. This pub was demolished years ago. Spring Bank House now stands on the spot.

The Yew Tree has a Google photo (May 2015) showing outdoor seating and 'A' boards, but I got suspicious of when photo was really taken when the 'A' board said "Watch 6 Nations rugby here".

This really is a tricky one because I agree that walking for twenty minutes out of town to find a closed pub is annoying. BUT, it isn't as annoying as doing all of the pubs in a town to later find that one that was marked closed was in fact open.

Maybe the temporarily closed option should flag a pub up if it has been closed for some time.

I visited here at the end of May to find builders doing extensive work. I have no idea if it has reopened yet and I doubt I will ever return to the area. However, I did use the temporarily closed option and noted that it was closed for refurbishment.

If I visit a closed pub, I like to put a review up of what I see, what is on any notice etc, as that gives a time log of the state of it. If it looks closed for a refurb and you read that 2 years later you have a chance of finding it open. If it looks like a demolition sign, chance you could find a Tesco next time around!

It's now reopen, complete with new website and monthly music gigs.
