In a week where apart from a day in Nottingham, travelling was curtailed by the heat and I was reduced to drinking Old Rosie from the chilled cabinet in my local spoons. It was cold and very drinkable.

    Flipside Farthing Mild 3.6%
    Black Iris Snake Eyes 3.8%*
    ELB Pale 4.0%
    Glentworth Citrus Sun 4.2%*
    Abbeydale Larceny 4.2%
    Blue Monkey Marmalape 4.5%
    Blue Monkey Infinity 4.5%*
    Lincoln Green Tuck Porter 4.7%*
Wolf Granny Wouldn't Like It 4.8%
    Blue Monkey Chocolate Guerilla 4.9%*
    Pheasantry Dancing Dragonfly 5.0%*
    Brecon Red Beacons 5.0%*
    Bateman's Barcelona Pale 5.0%
    Sadler's Hop Bomb 5.0%
    RCH Double Header 5.3%
    Boss Brave 5.5%
    Falstaff Darkside 6.0%*
    Flipside Clipper IPA 6.5%*

There's a lot of good beers here but none really outstanding.so it's a bit of a random choice. There's an old saying "the first beer of the day is always the best", and it possibly was the case with the Glentworth Citrus Sun at the King William IV in Nottingham for £3.00,. It's a pale hoppy beer from a brewery (and tried in a pub) that seems to specialise in them. It went down a treat after the train journey.

    BOTW Glentworth Citrus Sun

Yet another quiet week, not helped by being decidedly off-colour with a chest infection. So, no Sunday afternoon session, for the third week on the bounce.

    Bridestones - Sandstone.
    Revolutions - White Wedding.
    Kirkby Lonsdale - Jubilee Stout.*
    Ilkley - Summer.
    Five Towns - Old Norrell.*

The White Wedding was the pick of the bunch, a saison style beer infused with raspberries. it drank a lot better than it sounds.

I hope that you recover in time for next week A&H and catch up on the 3 missed sessions.

    Decent week for me:

    Oakham Bishops Farewell*
    Nobby's Guilsborough Gold
    Pardoes NPA*
    Kelham Island Pale Rider*
    Derby Quint Essential*
    Bridgnorth Kings Escape*
    Craddock's Crazy Sheep*
    Two Thirsty Brewers American IPA*

Bridgnorth is owned by Craddocks and Two Thirsty Brewers is a collaboration between Craddocks and Sadlers. I'd never tried their beers before but those that I had this week were all very good.
BOTW Two Thirsty Brewers American IPA. An amber 4.7% IPA with plenty of hops and delicious.

Didn't really want to say golden, tropical or flowery! Went down very well though.
