I know that pub! The IOW beer festival was one of the earlier ones and I used to go there and camp just outside of Ryde. If I remember rightly it was a Whitbread pub and the closest one to the camp site The preferred pub in Ryde was the Gales tied Castle where I won a frozen duck in a Sunday raffle!
I've only been back to the IOW once since those days..
