    Banks's -- Feral Hop Hog *
    Stratford -- Gold
    Salopian -- Darwin's Origin *
    Uley's -- Pig's Ear
    Fuller's -- Gales Redwood *
    Hobsons -- Best Bitter
    Redemption -- Big Chief *
    Fuller's -- Oliver's Island *
    Fuller's -- Black Cab Stout *
St Austell -- Proper Job *

BOTW goes to Redemption Big Chief from The Goat,St Albans lots of hops and body ,slipped down well as the first pint of the day.

This week heavy lock working to get to Brum but the aim is The Craven Arms which with luck should supply several BOTW contenders.

A moderate week for me but I'm out and about for most of next week which will make up for it:-

    Triple fff Alton's Pride 3.8%*
    Welton's Topper Mild 4.0%*
    Long Man Copper Hop 4.2%
    Triple fff Moondance 4.2%*
    Everard's Tiger 4.2%*
Hook Norton San Diego Pale Ale 4.5%*
    Moorhouse Farm House 4.6%
    Adnam's Jester 4.8%*
    Lancaster Red 4.8%*
    Ringwood Old Thumper 5.1%
    Banks's Feral Hop Hog 5.6%

The winner has to be the Triple fff Moondance as tried for £3.30 in their own pub the White Lion in Aldershot. I remember this beer well from the past as it used to be a regular Spoons guest. It was always very hoppy but I don't recall the obvious New World hop taste that it now has. I'm looking forward to visiting their other tied house some time.
Honourable mention must go to the Welton's Topper Mild. This is a brewery capable of great things but they seem to churn out so many beers you never know where you are.
I think I've asked this before but is Everard's Tiger better than it used to be? It seems to have a lot more body and flavour than I recall from the past. It has become a national beer that I would now go for rather than avoid.

    BOTW Tripel fff Moondance

A fairly average week saved by a couple of hours spent in Readings nags Head and a good guest beer in my local,
    Darkstar - Hophead
    Darkstar - American Pale Ale
    Vibrant Forest - Simcoe*
    Rebel - Penryn Pale Ale*
    Wood Street - Lemmon*
Arbor - Why Kick A Moo Cow*
    Oakham - Green Devil IPA*
    Binghams - Vanilla Stout*

All beers turned out to be pretty good but the Oakham offering turned out to be the best as well as the strongest at 6.0% ,with strong opposition from the Vibrant Forest,Arbor and Binghams beers.

Went to Brewdog for the awesome Ballast Point hoppy beers.Tried 3 dull beers.Left and went looking for some good beers.
these further beers kicked ass compared to the yankee stuff
    wiper and true -amber amerillo
    ducato -very imperial stout
    ducato-black ipa
    brighton beir -west pier
    BOTW was
signature -backstage ipa £4 a pint on cask or £5.20 on keg.Not surprisingly I opted for the cask version. superb

Fairly low key, this week. A solid batch of beers, but nothing to get too excited about.

Five Points Brew Co - Pale.*
    Mallinsons - Danger Hops.
    Acorn - Arcade.
    Ulverston - Another Fine Mess.
    Two Roses - Locke Ale.
    Bob's - Yakima Chief.
    Phoenix - Black Bee.

Easy winner was the Five Points, a brewery new to me and apparently from that there London.

A small but well formed selection:

    Nobby's Best Bitter*
    Beartown Black Bear*
    Abbeydale El Dorado
    Oakham Bishops Farewell*

BOTW Nobby's Best Bitter. At 3.8% perhaps inaccurately named but a very drinkable BBB.
