Does anyone know if this pub The Alma is still open or closed,Whatpub say it is now closed but they are not always correct with their information.

I was intending to go in it on Saturday, but dont want to waste my time if it is closed.

I wonder if there is any other town with a population of around 30,000 without a single town centre pub.

Give it five years and the Spoons might well be the only one left in Slough...

Never... When I did Slough earlier this year there were at least 5 vibrant pubs in town.

I don't think that the Rose & Crown is going anywhere soon.

It survived the total concreteification of Slough, so I suspect it'll survive now.

Definitely closed today when I went past. It was sold in Jun for £272000 at auction and is still boarded up. No further details known.
