    Quality rather than quantity.

    Fullers -- London Pride
Howling Hops -- Pale Ale *
Howling Hops -- Ruby Red *
Howling Hops -- American Brown Ale
    Howling Hops -- MILD *
Dark Star -- Victorian Ruby MILD *
Dark Star -- American Pale Ale *
Dark Star -- Summer Meltdown *

BOTW goes to Howling Hops Ruby Red in geat nick in The Cock Tavern,Mare Street and just outstripping some very good MILDS.

Next week boating around the southern outskirts of Birmingham,in hope rather than expectation of a great BOTW.

A good selection for me this week :-

    Wood's Chestnut Mild 3.5%
    Black Hill Three Quarter 3.7%
    Schoolhouse Abacus 3.9%
    Nethergate Lemon Head 4.0%
    Cameron's Strongarm 4.0%
Mithril Brewery May the 4th Be With You 4.1%
    Houston Black And Tan 4.2%
    Hop Back Taiphoon 4.2%
    Sambrook's Pumphouse Pale 4.2%
    Bragdy Conwy California 4.4%*
    Adnam's Ghost Ship 4.5%*
    B&T Dragonslayer 4.5%
Bespoke Going Off At Half Cock 4.6%
    Titanic Nautical Mild 4.8%*
    ELB Cowcatcher 4.8%*
    Welton's Red Cross Mild 4.9%*
    Leamside American Pale Ale 5.0%*
    Small World Twin Falls 5.0%*
Adnams / Sixpoint Meke It Rain 5.0%*
    Red Squirrel English IPA 5.0%*
    Kent Brewers Reserve 5.0%*
    Beartown Blackbear 5.0%
    Rudgate York Chocolate Stout 5.0%*
    Banks's Feral Hop Hog 5.6%*
    Kelham Island Pale Rider 5.2%*
    Black Metal Yggdrasil 6.6%

There must be around half a dozen potential BOTW winners in there but it goes to Banks's Feral Hop Hog the latest in the Spoons series of International beers. This is an Australian hop bomb which I caught the start of in the E4 King's Ford. I'll be back for more tomorrow on Cheapskate Monday when it will only be £1.99 a pint. I've no doubt that Banks's and Adnam's are streets ahead of the other regional brewers that contribute to this series. An honourable mention must go to Kent Brewer's Reserve.

    Very quiet week for me:

    Five Towns - HB.*
    Five Towns - May Day.*
Two Roses - Black Beauty Stout.
    Otley - 03.

May Day is a huge Double IPA, weighing in at 8.4%, containing Mosaic, Citra, Nelson Sauvin, Chinook and Equinox hops. Definitely one for sipping, not glugging.

Wow I like the sound of that, some nice hops involved there.
