International Women's Collaboration Brew Day is an annual worldwide event organised by The Pink Boots Society to raise the awareness of women in the brewing industry.

Brewsters from around the world unite once a year on International Women's Day to brew a one-off beer in the same style and strength whilst raising money for charity.

Lisa Handforth of the Riverhead Brewery in Marsden will again be throwing open the doors to any ladies wishing to try their hand at a spot of brewing with participants able to taste the fruit of their labour in three weeks time at the beers' launch.

For every pint sold of the 4.6% Unite Red Ale, £1 will be donated to Huddersfield Women's Aid, an organisation set up to support women and children who are victims of domestic abuse.

Brewing will begin at the Riverhead Brewery (beneath the Riverhead Brewery Tap on Peel Street, Marsden) at 10am this Sunday 8th March.
