Yes a new one for me,based in St Albans and decent. They also supplied The Black Horse in Hertford (where I was drinking) with their own branded pint glasses for punters to sample their ale from which was a good touch.

A visit to North Wales provided some different names as well as Abbot & Shepherd Neame Amber Ale :-

    Banks's Mild 3.5%
    Purple Moose Snowdonia Ale 3.6%
    Brain's Bitter 3.7%
    Banks's Bitter 3.8%
    Bragdy Cader Aur Cader 3.8%
    Brakspear Oxford Gold 4.0%
    Llyn Brenin Enlli 4.0%
    Great Orme Welsh Black 4.0%
    Llyn Cwrw Glyndwr 4.0%
    Banks's Sunbeam 4.2%
    Robinson's Unicorn 4.2%
    Shepherd Neame Amber Ale 4.5%
    Acorn Bullseye 4.5%
    Great Orme Celtica 4.5%
    Wychwood Hobgoblin 4.5%
    Hook Norton Old Hooky 4.6%
    Quantock Plastered Pheasant 4.8%
    Mauldon's Suffolk Pride 4.8%
    Greene King Abbot Ale 5.0%
    Clarence & Frederick's Cascadian Black 5.0%
    Marston's Old Empire 5.7%
    ELB Quadrant Oatmeal Stout 5.8%
    Adnam's Rogue Brutal IPA 6.0%

The winner is Banks's Sunbeam for £3.35 in the Barmouth Tal Y Don which was about the only one with a big New World hop flavour. The local Welsh brews seem to have a more conservative hop flavour.

A very late submission from me, but a familiar brewery as the winner.

Exit 33, ex Skys Edge, ex Brew Company, Riverside Pale.

Despite the enforced name changes there's been no change of management/brewer and they're good.

A light, refreshing 4.2% er, great for a session. Tried in The Baum of course.
