Some very good beer This week helped by a trip to Reading Friday and that London Saturday,
    Darkstar Hophead
    Darkstar American Pale Ale*
    Skinners Betty Stogs
    SVP Bitter Luck Next Time
    Siren Craft Soundwave* (keg)
    Hawkshead IPI NZPA
    Art Brew Hip Hop Galaxy
    Saltaire Hop # 256*
    Church End Vicars Ruin*
    Crouch Vale Blackwater Mild*
    Wreckless Pale Ale*
    Siren Craft Undercurrent*
    Little Beer Little Haka
    Belleville Calif-Oregan Amber*
    ELB Pale Ale*
    Hackney American Pale Ale*
BOTW is Siren Craft Undercurrent Drank in three different pubs this week but the best was in The Drafthouse , a rare 10/10 beer in every aspect apart from maybe the price, £2.75 a pint (a bargin) but £2.00 a half,my cockup.

A better week than last, but still a little quieter than normal.

    Acorn - Gorlovka.*
    4Ts - APA.
    Five Towns - Baby Blue.*
    Salamander - Peacock Stout.
    HArthill - Hart Stopper.*
    Fernandes - Malt Shovel MILD.*
    Ilkley - Lotus IPA.*
    Fernandes - Wakefield Hammer.
    Rat - White Rat.*
    Five Towns - Owt'll Do.
    Watermill - Isle of Dogs.
    Five Towns - Strange Brew.*
    Bob's - White Lion.

Easy winner was the White Rat. A new barrel was just coming on when I entered The Hop, Wakefield. So, fresh as a daisy, on a clean palate. No contest. It's a superb, hoppy session beer, when on form.

    Decent week for a change

The 3 Brewers -- Classic English Ale* (3PT)
    Tring -- Redshank
    Titanic -- Plum Porter *
    Vale -- Red Kite
    Itchen Valley -- Tea Clipper
    Redemption -- Trinity
    Hogs Back -- Surrey Nirvana
    Oakham -- Bishops Farewell *

BOTW goes to Titanic Plum Porter in good nick in Williams Ale& Cider House ,although rather more expensive than you will find it in SoT.

Next week another look around Oxford and then back up towards Banbury

Another very low key week all the beer was quality:

    Oakham Bishops Farewell*
    Hart Cloudy Opal*
    Whistling Kite Jai-Ho*

BOTW Whistling Kite Jai-Ho. A new brewery to me and this one is described as an IPA although I'm not sure that I buy that at 3.8%. Nonetheless, this is one of the tastiest sub 4% beers I've tried in a while.
