I don't reckon its changed all that much, my first time here was also around the early to mid 90s . Possibly the beer is better now there is a real ale micro brewery on the Island. Sat as I write, In the Pirates bar, remember this from a visit 10 years ago if not 25 years.

I have an English-Welsh dictionary and it's correct. The singular is moronen. Sadly in many cases it would be mutated to foron which is much less interesting. If the staff are Welsh and it appears that they are calling you a moron just reply "Pa'm wnei di sticio dy ben mewn bwced o gachu?".

I was in the Halesowen Whitley and Waggon & Horses and the JDW before that! Did you go to Shell-ter? It wasn't flagged as a micropub but I've corrected that.

I am in the King's Ditch micro pub in Tamworth. Very small room and very small low bar in the corner with no beer pumps on view. All the beer is drawn by gravity from the "cellar" in the room just behind the bar. You can see your pint being poured from the barrel on a large video screen on the bar room wall. A good but unusual idea! Wonderful! And
    the beer is great too!
