    Default Pop up pub?

There is now a pop up pub in Brum - The Pigeon In The Park. It is by the cathedral opposite the Joint Stock.

It will only be there for a month so do we need it adding to the site? My gut feeling is no so I haven't added it but what do you think?

It would be a way of recording it for posterity - I will be in there tomorrow and I'll take some pics of it so is it worth uploading them for people to see?

If its currently open and serving beer , I would say yes.

I'm with Moby on this one. What would be really useful is to mark it as closed as soon as it stops operating to keep the site up to date .Nothing worse than including it on a crawl route ,only to find it closed months ago.

I have a few concerns on this. It seems like a good idea now. but in a few years when trying to browse through the already cluttered mess of city centre pubs, it is going to become an irritant. Marking it as closed is useful, but it will still appear on the main list. And doesn’t it open the floodgates for adding, for example, pop-up bars in Christmas markets?

I agree with Moby. It's always good to find new places for a beer, even if they're ephemeral.

Yes, that's what I did with a Christmas pop-up pub in Sheffield a few years back. Though I didn't remember to mark it as closed until long after New Year. (Should have set an alarm on my calendar!) Also someone else used the same space the next year, but after visiting I didn't bother reopening and renaming it, as the beer was mostly (non-craft) keg and the cask options were boring.

However it is an open venue for now, not saying its one I'd want to attend though.
