The Castle in Torquay - "the £2.50 pub", and that's all drinks and all meals! Class (as in a class of its own...).

In Halifax, thinking I’d review a few of the ones missing reviews, mostly they are night time venues or closed or cafes etc that should never have been suggested or approved. Reviews will appear but it’s been an almost complete waste of time due to idiots suggesting crap that they can photograph, I want pub crawl info thanks.

Just to add I’ve made it to the Three Pigeons and this time there’s no dickhead telling me what’s wrong with “ale” and it’s as it should be.

Hope your blood pressure has recovered! Just read your reviews and the frustration is almost palpable.

Researching the seldom reviewed pubs of sunny Skelmersdale. Beer garden weather at last!

Looks like a good pub and the reviews concur.

Obviously avoided the Piece Hall and much of the dross that makes up Halifax, 3P and Victorian by far the best, Alex and Unity very close, shame about Pump Room 2 though.

Not right now, but a few hours ago I was enjoying a drink of Paulaner which was a nice drink in a beer garden in a services on a German autobahn. I did wonder what sort of cataclysm would unfold if someone suggested opening a beer garden, with a big sign saying "Beer Garden" at, say Charnock Richard. Or Leicester Forest East.

Maybe one of Boris's supporters should troll the idea to the Daily Mail, the ensuing fuss would drown out his domestic problems until well after his election.

Preston greyfriars Wethers. Had a good crawl around Lytham yesterday, a good shout for the next northern crawl. It's a town to make anyone feel young..
