Earlier start than last year but I remain stymied for choice at weekends due to major engineering in the Wimbledon area for several successive weekends. This has also prevented me from attending two so far excellent away football fixtures. Grrrrr.

I'm glad you didn't make it to the Cap in Hand, my favourite SW Londion Spoons. It's had the curse of the GBG in that my last two visits have been very disappointing with beer quality. It's in the Last Chance Saloon now as if my next visit doesn't impress it will receive the Curse of Aqualung.Doubled this years total so far today, now on four. Bizarrely both were JDW's .
