Not a bad beer this week,
    Darkstar - Hophead
    Darkstar - American Pale Ale
    Surrey Hills - Shere Drop
    Shepherd Neame - Whitstable Bay
    Firebrand - Mostly Simcoe
    Mallisons - Mosaic
    Oakham - Scarlet Macaw
    Signature Brew - Dark Heart
    Atom - Blend 1 Camomile
Totally Brewed - Papa Jangles Voodoo Stout

Beer of the week is Atom - Blend 1 Camomile, needed a taster before commiting to a purchase but turned out to be excellent.

Fairly quiet week for me, just a Friday teatime session. A couple of new breweries though, in Chadwicks and Long Man.

    Acorn - Strongheart.
    Fernandes - Rum for Cover.*
    Chadwicks - Yards of Ale.
    North Riding - Bravo.*
    Long Man - Old Man.
    Outlaw - Full House.*
North Riding - Sovereign state of Yorkshire.
    Gayant - La Goudale. (bottle)

Easy winner was the Bravo, a very drinkable APA, easily passing the three pint test.

An average sort of week :-

    Woodforde's Wherry 3.8%
    Firebird Heritage XX 4.0%
    Truman's Bold As Brass 4.2%
    Hook Norton Old Hooky 4.6%
    Arundel Stronghold 4.6%
    Brentwood Winter Warmer 4.7%
    Elephant School Peasant's Revolt 4.6%
    Firebird Paleface 5.0%
    St Peter's Autumn Stout 5.0%
    Arkell's Noel 5.0%
    Langham LSD 5.2%
    Mordue Headmaster's Christmas Sermon 5.2%
    Acorn Thunderstruck Black IPA 5.7%
    Triple fff I Can't Remember 6.0%
    Wadworth's Full Sail Wassail 6.0%

The Arkell's Noel was one of the better Spoons Xmas beers, it must be the only Arkell's beer I've ever had that wasn't sweet. The Old Hooky was surprisingly good but the clear winner is the Acorn Thunderstruck Black IPA for £3.70 (discounted to £3.33) in the E17 Bell which I hadn't visited for ages. It sailed through the 3 pint test.

    A mixed week

Dark Star -- American Pale Ale*
    Twickenham -- Naked Ladies*
Marston's -- New World Pale Ale
    Wriggle Valley -- Copper Hoppa*
    Otter -- Bitter
    Fuller's -- Jack Frost

BOTW goes to Twickenham Naked Ladies from The George,Croydon. It stood up to competition from Dark Star APA,which must mark it out as a good hoppy brew.

    Another quiet week:

    Marstons Pedigree - vinegar
    Hop Back - Red Ember*

Easy choice. BOTW Hop Back Red Ember. An ideal autumn pint: malty to start but with just enough bitterness to keep the interest at a warming 4.6%. No difficulties with the 3 pint test.

Surprisingly to some, no doubt, but I really enjoyed the Shepherd Neame Double Stout in the village club this week.

A reoccurring problem I have noticed and one I have fallen foul of , do you mean week ending 7/12/14 or the past week ending 14th?
