That's another spanner thrown into the works. As you know, I was including the Woolpack on the basis of their 3pm opening time.

This thread has gone faster than I could keep up with - are we settled on March 27th?? I can probably do this for about £40 but need to get in quick.

Sadly I am going to miss out on this crawl.A family celebration has unexpectedly been arranged for the same day,and it's something I dont want to miss, however great the crawl around York is likely to be.

I also now feel bad about banging on about the Blue Bell,so why not go back to plan A and avoid the touristy area.If the Blue Bell doesn't want to accomodate an esteemed bunch of crawlers from PuG ,it's their loss.

Have a great tour of the city.

That's a real shame BF, always look forward to meeting up with you on the crawls. Hopefully see you on the next one.

That's a real shame BF, was hoping to catch up on this one. We'll toast your health with something decent on the day.

OK I'm in - going to make a few days of it. Arriving Thursday 14.47 and departing Saturday at 13.56. Grand Central still have some sensibly-priced tickets available - £34.40 for the two returns from Kings X. Amusingly enough it'll probably cost me 2/3 of that to simply get from Reading to Kings X to start with. C'est la vie!

Any recommendations for cheap and cheerful accommodation in York? £39 a night at the Premier Inn on Blossom St
