Lots of consumption but the week impacted by dodgy stomach affecting tastebuds so BOTW more an impression than anything else.

Dark Star -- Skinners Pale Ale
    Sharp's -- Special
    Sharp's -- Atlantic IPA
Long Man -- Golden Tipple *
    Otley -- Amarillo
Dark Star -- American Pale Ale *
    Firebrand -- Graffiti IPA
    Mallinson's -- US MILD*
    Red Ink -- 100 *
    Buxton -- Rednik Stout
    Arbor -- Blue Sky Drinking
    Bristol Beer Factory -- Nova

BOTW goes to Red Ink 100,a decent porter from a new micro recently set up in Wellington,Somerset. Sampled on the excellent PuG crawl in the Famous Royal Navy Volunteer.

    BOTW Abbeydale Temptation.
The only cask ale tried and a boring brown beer but a very fine one. If all BBBs were like this then they may not have the reputation they do.

A good week for me with a visit to a local beer festival and a day out in Sheffield, somehwere I had never been to before.

    Great Orme Cambria 3.8%
    Elgood's Cambridge Bitter 3.8%
    Banks's Black Diamond 4.0%
    Sky's Edge Riverside Pale 4.2%
    Acorn Ginger Nuts 4.2%
    New Plassey Midnight Mild 4.2%
    Otley O2 Croeso 4.2%
Little Ale Cart Brancepeth Castle 4.3%
    Tiny Rebel FUBAR 4.4%
Isca No. 133 Pale Ale 4.5%
    Great Orme Celtica 4.5%
North Riding Fat Lads Mild 4.5%
Little Ale Cart Coal Porter 4.6%
Everard's Low Blow Session IPA 4.7%
    Ringwood XXXX Porter 4.7%
    Adnam's Wild Hop 4.8%
    Kingstone 1503 Tudor Ale 4.8%
Tiny Rebel The Full Nelson 4.8%
Sky's Edge Rum Cask Stout 4.8%
Tiny Rebel Dirty Stop Out 5.0%
    Acorn Ella IPA 5.0%
    Brown Ales Matrix Stout 5.0%
    Mordue Americana 5.0%
    Abbeydale Absolution 5.3%
    Backyard Hellbound 5.4%

There are so many really good beers in this lot that makes this is quite a task but it comes down between Otley O2 Croeso and the new Spoons American beer from Everards. The Otley O2 Croeso edges it although why a brewery in Pontypridd should be named after a Yorkshire town is anyone's guess. It was in superb nick for £3.20 at the local borough Social Club's Wales and Borders beer festival.

    BOTW Otley O2 Croeso

Abbeydale Galaxy 55 tried in The Baum several times last week.

It's exactly what it says it is. A 5.5% light beer made wth Galaxy hops.
