I like to get a Wetherspoons breakfast before heading for a crawl, but now they have brought black puddings in I have to pay 60p for it as I also love the flat mushroom and you have to chose or pay extra. Still worth it.

Pet hate is when they bung your toast and preserves on top of the breakfast instead of a separate plate though.

I feel all healthy, poached organic salmon salad yesterday, organic sirloin, eggs & homemade spud wedges tonight

However, I think the Scots can show the Americans a thing or two about eating

http://fxcuisine.com/default.asp?Display=112 {deep fried pizza, a friend nearly collapsed when he ordered a pizza in Scotland and it was just slung into the hot fat to cook]

    and also

http://thisiswhyyourefat.com/ has Guinness chocolate pudding at bottom of page 1, just to bring beer back into thread

    Also has a The Bacon-copia

Bacon horn stuffed with 20 hot italian sausages, 1 pound of scrapple, 4 pork chops, 1 black pudding sausage and 1 white pudding sausage, pepperoni and salami.

PS have looked through the "This is why you are fat" site, my arteries are furring up even as I looked

Best not ask for a can of Irn Bru then.

Some places still do deep fried haggis, deep fried Mars bars, and even deep fried battered pizza. The great American philosopher Homer Simpson would be in fat-boy Heaven in Scotland.

My local fish and chips does deep fried Mar Bars and tried it. Tastes very disgusting!

However I do enjoy their Deep Fried Chorizo (Hot version of battered sausage) Delicious!

There have one or two instances of fried rat from fish and chip shops. I recall one which was served up to a Policewoman . She thought it was chicken until she found the head. It would seem the rat falls in the frier during the night. I have seen some whopping great rats around chip shops at night but never seen one on the menu. They must be a special order item.
