    Ringwood Fortyniner
    Oakham Bishops Farewell
    Sunny Republic Hop Dog

BOTW Sunny Republic - Hop Dog. Great name, great beer. Described as a modern IPA and at 5.5% it's a very good example of one.

Fairly low key week for me, with not much to set the pulse racing.

    Andwell - Gold Muddler.
    Castle Rock - Harvest Pale.
    Rat & Northern Monk - Holy Gnaw-ders.
    Ossett - American Gold.
    Nine Standards - Double Standard.
    Rudgate - Brew No7.
    Bradfield - Farmers Blonde.
    Captain Cook - Botany Bay.
    Saltaire - Trio Pale.
    Nook - Rescue Red.
Bad Co - Dazed & Confused.

Easy winner was the powerful West Coast PA from Rat & Northern Monk. Was expecting a little more hop character, but at 5.6% it certainly packed a punch.

Coming from a hopgrowing district,as children we were obsessed by tales of the hop dog, the caterpillar of the Pale Tussock Moth. I've been fairly obsessed with Sunny Republic, too.

Thank you Mr. Wittenden, I had no idea that was where the term hop dog came from. You have brought light into my darkness.

Hop Dog is the first, and only, Sunny Republic beer I've tried on cask and if it's representative of the rest of their beers then I understand your obsession.

Blue Bee Reet Pale tried several times in The Baum.

An easy drinking 4%er described as "Hoppy, Floral & Citrussy".

It was all those things and passed the one above the 3 pint test easily.
