    Very modest week.

Kite Brewery -- How Greene is Our Valley (Collaberation with GK)
    Scarborough -- Citra
    Mighty Oak -- Captain Bob.

BOTW goes to Scarborough Citra which clocked up the beer miles to appear in very good form in the Old Cross Tavern ,Hertford.

A lot of dull and poor beers on Friday night left me struggling to find a notable beer but lunch In a hotel at Runnymede yesterday found
Rebellion -blonde (bottled) was superb but at £11.80 for 2 bottles +tip was a bit excessive.

Flying visit to village beer festival to collect pint glass-proper shape. All I could try, as I was driving.
Oakham-Inferno 4% abv. I don't often get to try Oakham beers here in Kent:I wasn't particularly taken by the Citra tried last year, but I love Bishop's Farewell. Inferno was pale 'n' hoppy, which says it all.
Bespoke-The King's Shilling 4.2%abv.An intriguing, hefty dark mild or brown ale, described as both. Very popular in the early stages of the fest.
    My BOTW-Oakham Inferno.

A mixture of Dales pubs and my usual Sunday afternoon wander round town threw up this week's offerings. Managed to come across a couple of new breweries in the process (Hadrian & Border, Settle Brew Co). Unfortunately, quite a few favourites weren't on top form.

    Yorkshire Dales - Lemon Gill.*
Yorkshire Dales - George & Dragon (rebadged Nappa Scar).
    Wensleydale - Decadence.
    Copper Dragon - Hill Hammer.
    Black Sheep - Velo.
Hadrian & Border - Secret Kingdom.
Settle Brew Co - Main Line.
Pennine - Hair of the Dog.
    Acorn - Yorkshire Pride.
    Milestone - Sao Paolo Porter.
    Rat - White Rat.
    Phoenix - Double Gold.
    Phoenix - White Tornado.
Gadds - She Sells Sea Shells.*
    Five Towns - Ponte Carlo.
    Townhouse - Armstrong Ale.*
    Five Towns - HB.*
    Elland - 1872 Porter.
    Great Heck - Citra.*
    Great Heck - Dave.*
    Fernandes - Summit.
    Fernandes - Lime Lite.
    Ossett - Real Ale Revolution.
    Fernandes - Irish Stout.
    Buntingford - Polar Star.

With an honorable mention for the Citra, the 1872 was quite an easy choice. Not the best of beers for a scorching hot day, perhaps, but still damned tasty when on form.
