Having a bit of a struggle transport wise for this weekend meet. We planned to take the van to Chertsey for the Egham USC fest and attend there Thursday and Saturday, and catch a train to Bristol to join you on the Friday, but tickets for that day have become available today, and will cost us £66 from Chertsey or even Egham itself.

Will have to find somewhere neutral where it is easy to get to both, hopefully cheaper.

It is still in the news, and has just gone from aviation orange to red in the last couple of hours. Should be an interesting trip as we go right round Iceland calling in 3 ports if no safety issues. Might get some good photos.

Do we need to start an attendees list to gauge numbers? I'll probably do a half day working from home then get the bus into city centre and met up with the rest. Only need to do 4 hours so if start early can meet at the beginning.

That's what I would call rubbing salt in the wounds - I've got a three hour train journey to get to Bristol (OK, 2 hours 47 minutes, arriving at 12:42). And another of similar duration to get home to Sheffield in the evening.

Is this a good moment to propose Sheffield for the next meet up?

Quite, we can't all just jump on a bus. I'm going to be sat on the train for 8 minutes.
