Looks like I blinked and I missed 'em. Thanks for the heads up about the notification website.
I've done Leeds-London return (4.5 hrs e/w) with the two journeys several days apart and that was bad enough. Ten hours in one day and I'd be reduced to a quivering, drooling mess.
Potentially, guilty as charged.

Bit late at the races Andy lad. There's a £8 megatrain Sheff to London the prev eve if you wanted to crash at ours, but it don't knock that much off the total.
Or a stop over in Briz the Thurs nt after megatrain from Sheff to London £8 and Lon-BTM £6 (slower from waterloo).
Both Maldenman and I plan to make it to this shindig. Our train gets in to Temple meads at 12.15 so would to be able to catch up with those already there by soon after 12.30. See you all next month!
Not done one of these before so really looking forward to meeting people who so far are just names. I like Bristol, had a few visits there, some crackers, an updated itinery nearer to the time would be good as we will be chasing the early crew, looking good.
Ok, maybe just for one......................
This was a crawl I did with my Dad on the 4th October all on foot so gives a perspective of time so he could cross a number of GBG pubs off from new and last years guides. I'm not suggesting we replicate this in the slightest but does show what is possible especially considering we walked quite a fair distance and I had a pint in every pub but does include some of the ones mentioned earlier in the thread.
Met Dad in The Knights Templar (JD Wetherspoon) as he had been to do the new The Bath Arms (JD Wetherspoon) in Warminster to do another off his Wetherspoons quest and my bus got into town after his train at about 11.30 as were meant to meet at 12.
Got to Barley Mow just after 12 then continued through the day to do.
The Volunteer Tavern
The Canteen
Hillgrove Porter Stores
Was going to do the The Green Man but when we got there it wasn't open till 4 pm and it was only about 2.45 ish if that.
Then on to The Bank Tavern
No. 1 Harbourside
The Beer Emporium
He left after his half to get the 5 pm train back to Birmingham and I got the bus home about 4.45 after catching a few snaps on the way back to the bus stop. Google said walking the whole route would take an hour but if including a lot of ones closer within the City Centre should be less time so a couple more pubs could be fitted in.
I suggest Dave M, Quinno and Blackthorn pull their fingers out and rewrite my suggestions...

I'll not be there.

Sorry guys, I’m going to miss this one unless Plutus looks upon me favourably – which is unlikely!
