Manchester Brewing Christopher Columbus Pale Ale

A real malty mess, clear enough and no funny nose but very difficult to drink and enjoy. Not sure what the brewer has got wrong here, but I elected to leave a good chunk of my pint.Taken in The Rake,Borough Market.

"After three months and 37 different experiments, this stout has what we consider to be the perfect ratio of peanut butter, lactose and biscuit."

Spoiler alert - there is no perfect ratio of peanut butter, lactose and biscuit in a beer.

Save yourself the effort, and just pour this one straight down the sink!

The photo suggests that it's their publicity shot rather than your own photo, taken on a handy pile of monkey nuts in your shed, so it thankfully won't have been your sink down which the beer has been poured!

My can had been crushed and stamped on before I thought to take photograph (but I'm still worried about the sink)!

Yes, you should try pouring some Punk IPA down there to unblock it!

I walked past the Hammerton brewery last night - not the most attractive of locations. I also bought a peanut butter Kit Kat which sounds remarkably similar. Presumably you knew that this beer was a peanut butter Kit Kat in liquid form at the time of purchase?

No, because it came in a Beer52 mixed box of dark beers (with contents unknown until delivery).

Top beer .Rated it at least 8.5.Although on first drinking it in their own pub thought it was kak.One of my favourite beers last year.
from 7325 ratings on Untapped it averaged 3.93 so although you are entitled to say its a crap beer the rest of the beer world thinks its a terrific beer.

Not tried it, the peanut butter bit alone is enough to deter me.
