I find their beers flavourless but if you only drink their beer or have a session on it they probably taste ok. I find Harveys beers similarly lacking in taste but have found that when they are the first beers of the day they seem better. When I go to the Royal Oak Borough with a friend who loves Harveys we always make it the first stop.

    Signature Brew Session

The pump clip talked about NZ hops, but despite being in good condition, what came out was a malty mess of a brew with little hop character.A large round of it was bought, which slowed the pace of drinking and led to a few unfinished pints. It certainly wasn't sessionable.

Feeling rather giddy, on a rare night out with just my elder daughter, I decided to try Camerons Roots & Fruits. Described as 'a straw coloured ale infused with ginger and blueberries' it drank like watery squash / herbal tea. At 4.1%, it just didn't have the strength to carry off the sweetness and so was a mawkish, unpalatable mess. You have been warned. Don't. Just don't.

It was Light Struck or as I prefer to call it Skunked. It was the last bottle in the fridge and I though thank god for something decent.I went for it as the 3 previous beers I had that night were shockers .After this undrinkable beer I stuck to keg .

I've had no trouble with Green Devil Bottles. When JDW used to do Devil's Backbone on keg it varied enormously. The bottle is still available as the "free" drink with a meal and has been much more consistent. Obviously even keg suffers if they aren't selling enough.

Its not a brewery fault its a problem that occurs after leaving the brewery and before reaching the customer.I had 2 bottles of identical beer .One I drank and the other I left by mistake on the window cill for 24 hrs and the second bottle had to be poured away as I couldn't finish it due to the taste. Some rubbish from Belhaven so no great lost but amazed by how much difference it made.
