Marstons Pedigree served at Toby Inn Cotteridge Village Inn. They served me that as the EPA was off, and it made vinegar taste good. Got my money back and did without.

An easy entry this week. Fallen Angel "Black Death Chilli". It's got chilli in it! That would be bad enough, but they've managed to source one of the hottest chillis in the world. So, the beer (if that's what it is - who knows?) tastes of nothing at all, except chilli. Same goes for anything you drink in the next 15 minutes. Horrible and utterly, utterly pointless. Fortunately, I didn't buy the stuff, but a half was being passed incredulously around - the challenge was to drink just the smallest amount. Nobody liked it.

I knew I recognised the name and, yes, it's true, these people have previous in the pumpclip parade 'Hall of Shame".

So that's some information for you all - a 'brewery' to avoid at all costs. That's what I'll be doing.

That is a most excellent blog by the way. I'm glad somebody came up with the idea as there are some nasty pump clips around.......

Quite apart from questions of taste, they used to have major problems with the carbonation of their bottle conditioned ales. The only beer of theirs that I liked was Angry ox. A pity, as they used to sell beer at various local farmers markets.

I think there's going to be a surge of voting for this BABOTW.

Cains Blonde Bird tasted in Dr. Duncans. Thin, astringent and vinegary, bloody awful.

OB took his back and was served another pint of exactly the same shite and was told "It's meant to taste like that"

Dr Duncans specialised in crap beer yesterday with the most favourable comment on any of their beers yesterday being "it was alright".

This is simply not good enough for a supposed flagship pub like Dr Duncans.

We thought he Cains Blonde Bird was bad being the first one out, but too many agreed on it being bad for that to be the case.

Agree the worse one of an otherwise great day for beer.

Yep no surprises for my nomination as I said just after I'd taken the first pint of the nasty liquid back.

Bloody awful beer of the decade (so far), worse than that Hilden stuff at a previous spoons fest.

Thank god for the Ship & Mitre.
