The Kingston beer festival was this weeks saviour,
    Darkstar - Hophead 3.8%
    Dartmoor - Legend 4.4%
Alchemy - Dr Rudi Burst 5.3%
    Elland - 1872 Porter 6.5%
East London - Quadrant Oatmeal Stout 5.8%
    Oakham - Scarlet Macaw 4.4%
    Redemption - Big Chief 5.5%
    Redwillow - Shameless 5.9%
Rother Valley- Northiam Imperial Pale Ale N.I.P.A. 5.0%
    Tillingbourne - A.O.N.B. 4%
Twickenham - Black Eel IPA 5.0

Not a bad one amongst that lot and a lot of IPA action, but it comes down to two beers ,hard to split but Redwillow Shameless just ,and only just, edges out Twickenham Black Eel Ipa as BOTW.

Some very good beer this week:
    Titanic White Star*
    Titanic Plum Porter*
    Oakham Citra
    Oakham Bishops Farewell*
    Blue Monkey BG Sips*
Blue Monkey Scarlet Chimpernel* - best name from Blue Monkey yet
    RedWillow Heartless
    RedWillow Shameless IPA (keg)
Northern Monk New World IPA (keg)

Despite the competition it's no contest - BOTW Northern Monk - New World IPA. The Brewdog experience had put me off keg beer but this has changed my thinking. Not too cold or too fizzy and punchy at 6.2%, this is like TT Landlord on steroids. Fantastic.

After a completely dry week, last week, due to a chest infection, I had a cathartic couple of sessions this week. Plenty of variety, but not that many beers with the wow factor.

    Mallinsons - BG Calypso.
Goose Eye - Over & Stout.
    Surrey Hills - Ranmore.
    Empire - Robohop.*
    Coach House - Gunpowder MILD.
    Fat Head - Rocket Man.
    Boggart - Dark MILD.
    Mallinsons - Amarillo.
    Bridestones - New Beginnings.
    Ulverston - Another Fine Mess.
    Elland - 1872 Porter.
    Acorn - Blonde.
    Great Heck - Golden Bull.*
    Revolutions/Tyne Bank - Communique.
    Great Heck - Five.*
    Five Towns - Peculiar Blue.*
    Fernandes - Malt Shovel MILD.
    Abbeydale - Brimstone.
    Fullers - Fools Gold.
    Elland - Bora Bora.

BOTW goes to Empire Robohop, a nice hop forward session beer.

Dunscar Bridge Northern Storm. A dark mild that, similar to last weeks winner, drinks more like a porter.

Tried in The Regal Moon (JD Wetherspoon) in Rochdale.
