A pub is for life not just for Christmas
I make it 8 but looking at the pictures I agree with OldBoots and wish it was zero. Happily I've not been to any recently. Some qualification is required :-
The Devonshire in Balham was the Duke of Devonshire and was one of the roughest Young's pubs in London.
I knew the Owl & Pussycat in Shoredicth as a basic Free House.
I knew the Hand of Glory in Hackney as a very basic Watney's pub called the Amhurst Arms. It was in Murder Mile and a right dodgy area. I don't think I actually had a real ale here.
The Brewers Inn at Wandsworth was the Two Brewers and probably the largest Young's pub in Wandsworth. It was also a basic boozer.
I knew the Lamb in Spitalfields as a Free House selling Young's Ordinary by the bucket load.
It sounds to me like they've all been ruined.
As far as Chelsea goes I've always agreed with Elvis Costello's song.

A slightly sadder list, http://spitalfieldslife.com/2018/11/...-pubs-crawl-o/ , I've been in the re- opened Well and Bucket a few times, and I've been in The Black Bull Whitechapel , but that's about it from memory.

Most of these seem to be Watney or Truman outlets. I've definitely been in the Mackworth Arms as it was a Murphy's pub from which came the Godson brewery. The White Hart where 1 Mile End came from was the flagship Murphy pub.
I'm pretty sure I also once went in the Grave Maurice (pronounced as in the lyrics of Joker by the Steve Miller band).
There are a few others that vaguely ring a bell.
