Thought it was going to be a big fat zero, until the Rockford Inn saved my bacon, right at the end. A lovely riverside setting, with buzzards circling above, on thermals, but I recall the beer wasn't all that great. However, to be fair, it was 12-13 years ago! Hopefully, things have changed for the better.

Let me get this right. They have ten criteria for top quality country pubs, and based on this they have found seven pubs in the whole of Great Britain. Two in Somerset, two in Devon, two in Gwent and one in Scotland. That's a bit damning for the rest of the country. As a trainee Yorkshireman I feel I should be insulted.

(I've been in the Moulin Inn near Pitlochry, BTW. And in the other pub in Llanthony. Do I get a half for a near miss?)

Five for me and I'm not sure about the Commercial Road George. As usual none in recent years.

I'm surprised they didn't include any of the famous walkers / climbers pubs in Snowdonia, the Lakes and Scotland or even the Pennines and N York Moors.

Three for me too. Should have been four but the George Tavern was shut when I attempted to visit last December as "an advert was being filmed inside". It's one of the better excuses I've heard...
