Yorkshire: http://www.yorkmix.com/food-drink/yo...-pubs-of-2016/ None of these, though we've been past http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/62318/ dozens of times. It looks a bit too posh, and anyway The Cover Bridge Inn is just up the road.

"At that moment I would have given a kingdom, not for champagne or hock and soda, or hot coffee but for a glass of beer" Marquess Curzon of Kedlestone, Viceroy of India.
I've been in five of them, they're mostly foody especially the Blue Lion and Durham Ox, the Woolly Sheep is quite good, the Brown Cow is a slightly upmarket Taylors house (especially so for Bingley!). The winner was the Bull Inn which is foody but not quite a restaurant with beer, as a few old farmer types congregate in the bar.
I don't think they let you in the Blue Lion unless you're driving a late model Bemmer, Jag, Merc or of course a new shiny Chelsea Tractor , one day I'll pop in if the charms of the Cover Bridge Inn don't distract me .
The Brown Cow is at the bottom of the hill next to the river, I think the other is The Ferrands Arms which didn't impress me.
