Definitely The Antelope For Me , now been six or seven times in the last year.

I thought you might say that! I would rather make a return visit there than the Sussex.

    7/10 for me,

I have not done the Southampton Arms,Euston Tap and Tap Room,

i was lucky enough to visit the Cask in Pimlico when it was a proper estate pub with GK IPA on the bar,it is nice to see the Betsy Trotwood on the list, the only independant brewery tied house, you also car'nt go wrong with a pint of Master Brew in my opinion.

On a slightly different note, when i go into a pub with loads of handpumps on the bar i get slightly flustered as to what to have,so i usually go for the nearest pump which has a gravity less than 4.6%.

    8/10 for this list.

Not been to the Taproom and not sure if I have been to the Sussex. I went to RUTC and used to play Hampton mini league darts so I would be surprised if I hadn't been in at some point before I started reviewing.

My recollection of that area was the Orange Brewery where John Gilbert brewed before going on to start up Hop Back in Salisbury.

    Yes,

I get more of a buzz when visiting some dire looking estate pub that will no doubt close down at some point, than going into a pub with 20 real ales on the bar.

I do try and get to what most PuG members would call really crap pubs,i dont think i am the only one on the site to do so,Quinno seems to do any pub and Rex also does any pub he comes across in London.

In this particular case, I'm not that nostalgic for the former Pimlico Tram but I do understand what you mean (and at least it didn't try calling itself the 'Pride of Pimlico' like the one down the street, which really does take the biscuit).

However, I do quite like housing estate pubs that make an effort, and the Horse & Groom visited on the Derby trip yesterday seemed OK to me (although I don't think that Will and Catia were so enamoured...).

It was the loud music - was it Gold FM? - coming out of the TV screen just above your head. Otherwise it was ok.

Fair enough - that was a bit of a pain!
