Most of the usual suspects are there, with a few omissions, a few no-hopers and a number that sound worth visiting. However taking only one vote per head makes it incredibly unrepresentative as you only need 2 to get on the leader board!

Of the 7 multiples I've only been to the first 4. I'd argue all day long about the merits of the Great Western over the Hope which are joint top with 4 votes.
I had the impression that the Hemingford Arms in Islington is more a music venue than a Real Ale Mecca. I've never looked on the Gardeners Arms in Lewes as being a great pub rather than just a good one yet I'm sure I've seen it on other lists.

Its a bar according to the staff but is that different to a pub.Not imo.

I haven't been to either of them but know the buildings they are in. I would call them pubs along with micropubs and craft ale bars. It's chain restaurants that I have the problem with.

I have been to 16 of them.Although I haven't left a review I particularly like the Rutland Arms in Sheffield.
