6/10. Might pocket those others and try and do them this year, as I'm in Bristol every quarter or so.

Impossible to get them all now, Copper Jack’s and The Aviator have both now closed, although you can still visit the venues in their new guise, Pata Negra and The Good Measure).

10/10 for me though

A big fat zero for me as I believe the PUG County of Bristol is the only one in England and Wales where I have only reviewed JDWs. I think I've said before that the City is a public transport nightmare with just buses and so much traffic that it's liable to gridlock at any time. I hope to rectify this with a leisurely tour of Bedminster which has a rail station and a Spoons.

Two stations in fact, Parson Street is the other end of Bedminster.

This is from the Pub Curmugeon's blog, and quoting from a book from the late 80s called The Quest for the Perfect Pub. At the end of the blog is a list of the authors' Top 10:

Pride of place goes to what they describe as The Perfect Pub, Somewhere in Suffolk, because the licensee did not want the attention that would result from it being named. A little digging based on the description suggests it was in fact The Cock at Brent Eleigh.

I've been to just three of these 10.

I have received delivery of this book just a few days ago , its not been a normal week and I have barely had time to look at it yet, there are however 350 pubs listed in the book, bearing in mind it was printed in 1989 many I'm sure are no longer with us, from the 350 Iv'e managed a paltry six,

The Flowerpots Inn
The White Horse
The New Inn,now The Iron Duke
The Bell Inn
The Mill , Dipley,only a couple of miles from home but sadly closed for good sometime in the late 80's early 90's
