I've looked at the current timetable to find it on the Uckfield line so you're right! It says that it's a 58 minute journey to Eridge so you are right about the rubbish article.

Probably wise. My vague recollection of it was being a great rural Harvey's pub that was also a GBG regular It's no longer GBG listed and sounds very food orientated to me.

Harvey's unloaded it a while back. I wan't impressed when I tried to visit it 13 years ago though my views were a bit subjective.

Only been to the The Little Angelon this short list, and that was over 30 years ago. Given the type of pubs featured I am unlikely to visit any of the others.
Not been to any of those, although navigated past Boulters many times but concluded it was far too smart and food orientated for the crew.

It had escaped my notice the fact that they had dropped this one. My visit would have been over 35 years ago, possibly even 40, it's too long ago to remember!

5/7 for me, although these seem more modernised / gastro country pubs if anything.

That was my impression and seems to be the common impression. To me it looks like a typical "weekend colour supplement" load of crap. There is a better list of country pubs that could be assembled by the users of this forum.

The Pub Curmudeon's list is ineresting, if a little gappy-not much in Kent or East Sussex for instance. Here's a few pubs in K and ES visited by me in the last twelvemonth:
    Bell & Jorrocks
    The Salehurst Halt
    The Kentish Rifleman
    Rock
    The Shipwrights Arms
    The Bull Inn Not forgetting
    Halfway House

These are all pubs in the countryside or small villages, serving food and beer.I've excluded wet led pubs on the grounds that I only really go to my local ones.

All 15 for me as you would expect.

The Molly House is in the Gay Village and is of course very gay friendly, which is likely to affect its chances of getting votes, but it's a very good pub.

I'm not sure that Dukes 92 is really a pub anymore to be honest.
