Here's a comparison of B&B's twitter poll with our very own Top 10 Pubs from earlier this year. There are 22 pubs appearing on both lists (their 77, our 203), with three of their top seven missing from our list altogether (Free Trade, Old Ship, Ship and Mitre).
FWIW I've been to four out of their top seven; 15 out of the 22 that are on both lists; 36 of their 77; and 106 of our 203.

Come On You Hatters!
I think that;s an endorsement for both lists. I visited the Free Trade on the same day as the Cumberland Arms and preferred the latter. Seahouses is a long way North and isn't a very big town. I passed through it over thirty years ago and did stop for an early pint but it was more probably at the now closed White Swan. When I travelled to Belfast last year I stayed in the upper reaches of the Travelodge that overlooks the Ship & Mitre. I looked down on it wondering what it was like being completely oblivious of the reputation of it.
My mate Mark reckons the best pub in Britain is the White Horse in Hedgerley..He has for at least 6 or 7 years promised to take me there as its a bit out of the way. This Friday is the day of reckoning.
Here we go again!
