Default Beer of the Week (w/e 24th March 2024)

    This week:

    Adnams Ghost Ship
    Titanic Plum Porter*
    Oakham Bishops Farewell*
    Phipps Gold Star*

BOTW Phipps Gold Star which, unwisely at 5%, whistled through the 3 pint test. I'm yet to find a better beer brewed in Northamptonshire.

Vocation - Life and Death (can). So good I've ordered myself another 48.

A trip to Leeds on Friday, followed by Stockton Calling on Saturday.

Agreed-son in law gave me some at Christmas; helped lift the January gloom.

    Wakefield.

Best week I've had in a long time. I even managed a Sunday afternoon wander, which I've not been able to do for ages.

    Ossett - Melon.
    Fernandes - Malt Shovel Mild.*
    Fernandes - Quantum.*
    Tigertops - White Tiger.
    Fernandes - Jockin'.
    Fernandes - Spaced Out.*
    Craven - CPA.
    Small World - Twin Falls.
    Little Critters - White Wolf.
    Abbeydale - Daily Bread.
    Mallinsons - Lupulin Trio.*
    Acorn - White Oak.
    Chin Chin - Kandel.
    Nailmaker - Wapentake.
    Rat - Black Forest Rateaux.
    Fernandes - Mr Brian.*

Very little between the Quantum, Mr Brian and the Lupulin Trio, with the Mallinsons just shading it. Made with Ekuanot, Calypso and Nelson Sauvin hops. Taken at Harry's Bar.

Kings Langley and Berkhamsted.Just 3 pubs but some interesting bottles and cans from Langham and Marble while navigating, however focussing on the draft...

    Fullers -- London Pride
    Tring -- Sidepocket for a Toad *
    Adnams -- Ghost Ship

and BOTW Titanic Plum Porter * which went beyond the three pint test in The Riser. Served southern style but still more than acceptable.

Next week end month sessions then more GU action.
