Maltings, Rook & Gaskill and York Tap. Agree with BF ,lots of fine establishments that need trying.

I've been to the Maltings around 20 years ago but don't recall anything else. I don't have a downer on Yorkshire as I would like to return to many towns and cities there but not York (an expensive tourist trap), Leeds (a rip off Wannabe London) and to a lesser extent Harrogate.
It's not grim up North but grim in Central London and much of the Home Counties with indifferent beer at rip off prices.
All of them except Brew York.
It's never been open when we're in York.
A pub is for life not just for Christmas
Six for me and I thoroughly enjoyed most of them. Still enough left to warrant a trip to York as soon as possible though.
