The Fleece at Bretforton, the Ship Inn at Low Newton by the Sea and the Stickle Barn in Langdale, the latter on more occasions than I could count. (Strangely, the list gives the postal town for some - the Ship in Alnwick, the Stickle Barn in Ambleside - but the village for others - the Fleece at Bretforton, the Buckinghamshire Arms at Blickling.)

The Manor House Hotel is a beautiful building but I don't recall it having a public bar. It's now rather depressingly been renamed 'The Pig on the Beach'.
York, Staines & Burton Bridge for me. Was their list another one nominated by branches I wonder, hence the two seldom-open in preference to a lot of other good ones.
On leaving the bar, I felt a strong blow to the back of my head. Turning round, I discovered it was the pavement
