Fifty best pubs in five categories, for me one in each of the first three and four in each of the last two categories although I'm not sure the Ship & Mitre could be called a "Craft Beer Pub" in the usual sense of craft, like for example North Bar. (11/50)

At least when it says UK it means it, not just a few foody places in the M4 corridor.

EDIT: I miscounted, I've been in 5 of the Craft Beer Pubs so that's 12/50.
10 for me 3,1,2,2,2. The Three Chimneys at Biddenden certainly wasn't for Sunday Lunch!

Quite a good piece about putting a list together by Boak & Bailey who contributed to that last Guardian list,

BTW anyone recognise all the pubs in the title photo?

Peveril of the Peak Manchester / Three Cranes York / Coopers Arms ?

Pardoes (Old Swan), Netherton / Dolphin Hotel ? / ??

The Old Bell ? / Kings Head ? / ?? (I thought maybe Imperial Gloucester or Black Horse Preston but it's neither)

9/13: photographed the Guinea, Grapes, Mayflower and Lamb & Flag but not visited. Visited and photographed all the remaining 9; wish I'd gone to the Mayflower as it's a bit of a pain for me to get to.

Dolphin Hotel is in Plymouth and Old Bell is on Fleet Street, EC4. Fairly sure bottom right is Howard Arms in Carlisle.

I can't really see them that well as they are too small but is the Old Bell the one in Derby that I randomly visited in the summer? Looking at the pictures on this site I think not.

As for pubs with views the Clachaig Inn at Glencoe, the Old Dungeon Ghyll in Langdale and the Vaynol Arms in Nant Peris were pretty outstanding as I recall. Isn't there one on Skye as well?

The telling point being in the last paragraph headed "Lists are nonsense".
