    Quality rather than quantity.

    Titanic -- Iceberg
    Titanic -- White Star
    Jennings -- Cocker Hoop
    Acorn -- Barnsley Gold
    Oakham -- Gangster
    Titanic -- Plum Porter

In any other week the Oakham Gangster would have easily won,a very fine drink, but BOTW goes to Titanic White Star in superb condition in the Royal Exchange ,Stone.

Final two games of the season will yield celebratory pints and hopefully a good BOTW next week.

    Nit a bad week :-

    Banks's Mild 3.5%
    Bateman's Black and White 3.6%
    Otter Seville Bitter 4.0%
    Adnam's Mosaic 4.1%
    Rooster's YPA 4.1%
    Mauldon's Silver Adder 4.2%
    Twickenham Redhead 4.2%
    Naylor's Citradelic 4.4%
    Brain's Reverend James 4.5%
East London Brewing Company Nightwatchman 4.5%
Hook Norton Special Dark Mild 4.6%
    Brodie's Old Street Pale 5.0%
    Brodie's Jamaican Stout Jerk 5.4%
    Brodie's Peppermint Pale Ale 5.5%
Banks's Saint Archer Pale Ale 5.5%
Brodie's Dry Hoppin' Mad Kohatu 5.5%
    Celt Experience Bleddyn 1075 5.6%
    Dark Star Revelation 5.7%
    Westerham Audit Ale 6.2%
Wild Beer Company Madness IPA 6.8%
    Arbor Tiny The Welder 8.5%

The Saint Archer impressed again but as it's May now I will put forward the Hook Norton Special Dark Mild. To me Hook Norton is one of the better regionals and possibly doesn't get the recognition it deserves. This one was remarkable because despite having a high ABV it was no sweeter than a normal strength mild.

    Some decent beer this week:

    Titanic Iceberg
    Titanic White Star
    Titanic Captain Smiths
    Titanic Plum Porter
    Oakham Gangster
    Oakham Bishops Farewell
    Ringwood Boondoggle
    Jennings Cocker Hoop
    Abbeydale Moonshine

All very good and in another week all worthy of botw but I'm afraid that BOTW Titanic White Star is a duplicate being so good that nothing else came close.

Best week I've had for a while, managing my usual Sunday afternoon crawl and a session at the excellent Yankeefest, The Cricketers, Horbury. Some great beers from both ends of the colour spectrum.

    Fernandes - Patriot.
    Saltaire - Dockfield Porter.*
    Abbeydale - Absolution.
    Wentworth - Challenge.
    Mallinsons - Indulgence.*
    Portobello - APA.
    Saltaire - Stateside IPA.
    Revolutions - Go Go APA.*
Sonnet 43 - Bourbon Milk Stout.
    Tyne Bank - Heavenly Porter.
Red Squirrel - Redwood American IPA.
    Mallinsons - Kiwi Classic.
    Liverpool Organic - Cascade.
    Phoenix - Double Gold.
    Revolutions - Clash London Porter.*
    Salamander - Gaffer.
    Salamander - Withered Soul Stout.*
    Bobs - Chardonnayle.
    Ulverston - Laughing Gravy.
    Great Heck - Citra.*
    Great Heck - Treason Stout.*
    Jarrow - LastShip.
    Butcombe - Haka.*
    Fernandes - Hopmaster.

A handful of beers in there that probably would have won on a quiet week, but the Citra and the Indulgence were the two that really stood out. The latter made with the four 'C' hops Citra, Centennial, Chinook, Cascade was a superb aromatic APA.

Hopstar Saaz Blonde tried in The Baum.

The best of a rather mundane selection tried this week.
